East AlabamaWorks!
East AlabamaWorks represents a seven-county region covering Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Randolph and Talladega. The non-profit is led by local businesses and industry leaders and are one of seven regional councils in the state of Alabama. The organization provides short-term and long-term solutions for closing the skills gaps and building a prepared workforce for industry.
Educational Workforce Training Resources
Clay County is within a 60 – 90 miles radius of a number of post-secondary schools offering a wide variety of degree opportunities for students wishing to continue their education after high school. For qualifications, admissions and programs, contact each school for more information.
Southern Union Community College
Southern Union State Community College is an open admission, public two-year college and member of the Alabama Community College System, providing quality and relevant teaching and learning in academic, technical, and health science programs.
Talladega Career Center
In order to meet the growing need for businesses to hire and train skilled workers, East AlabamaWorks partners with the regional Alabama Career Centers to offer a range of no-cost services to the workforce in East Alabama. Services vary depending on which location you visit, but all Career Centers exist to help you succeed.
