Located in east central Alabama, Clay County is just far enough away from big city life – yet centrally located between larger metropolitan areas including Atlanta, Montgomery and Birmingham.

Our location also features some of the natural beauty of the southeast region including Cheaha State Park,  and the Tsalagi Trails. Clay County is home to lifelong residents and frequent visitors alike. In addition to our recreation offerings, our county school system is preparing the best and brightest, who are filling our workforce pipeline. The Clay County school system has the latest technology infrastructure available, along with equipment for the 21st Century Classrooms.

City of Ashland

The City of Ashland is just minutes from the recreation areas of Mt. Cheaha, Lake Harris and the Talladega National forest. Ashland supports a very active county-wide Arts League and offers churches of many denominations. Local industries include Tru-Wood Cabinets, Koch Foods, and Wellborn Cabinets located just outside the city as well as the Honda plant located in nearby Lincoln.

City of Lineville

The City of Lineville Alabama is a small town with unique qualities. Also located with close proximity to some of the county’s most beautiful natural attractions, Lineville offers the authentic “small town” charm.
